2009 PRIZEWINNERS 13 NOV 2009 The 2009 prizewinners were announced on 12 November by DE Chief Executive Tony Humphreys. Painter Atsuko Fujii won the prestigious ING Purchase Prize with her work Asparagus with red string (cat. no 2/57).  ′Rothko′s dog′ by Mychael Barratt  2009 bursary winnerThe artists short-listed for this year's David Gluck Memorial Bursary for Drawing were James Allen, Sally Firino, Sarah Leonard, Freya Pocklington, Christopher Milton and Yanko Tihov, with the award going to Christopher Milton.
