Charles Saumarez Smith, secretary and chief executive at the Royal Academy, has invited a variety of artists - including paintings from Arturo di Stefano and Christopher le Brun RA, together with works from celebrated potter Edmund de Waal.

Drusilla Beyfus is Contributing Editor of The Telegraph's Telegraph Magazine, where she writes on photography, the arts and general interest subjects. For the past decade, she has also been a tutor at St Martin's College of Art, London. Her section of this year's Exhibition will have the largest number of works, including those from photographer Ben Ingham and landscapes from George Rowlett.

This year's exhibition, in the re-designed Mall Galleries, promises to be better than ever!

Details of gallery opening times and how to find your way there are on the back page of the Newsletter.
