JOHN DESTON, gallery director – who keeps a watchful eye over all preparations and the exhibition itself. His view is that the unique format and the tremendous setting of the Discerning Eye exhibition makes it stand out - and on the opening night he witnesses what he describes as a “great fever” of anticipation. As guests arrive: "As soon as the doors are open, they're in and even before they reach for the glass of champagne, their eyes are swinging around to see what judge has chosen what."
