ING Platform 100 Project/Exhibition

Following on from the previous awards we have jointly received with ING from Arts & Business for new initiatives, we are delighted to announce our latest project.

The UK Platform Companies of ING, in collaboration with Discerning Eye have again secured the financial support of Arts & Business, this time to run a project called ING Platform 100. Echoing the main Discerning Eye Exhibition, where works are selected by individual selectors, the project will allow 100 members of the ING staff to choose one artist/work for inclusion in an exhibition to be held at ING's London Wall offices later in the year.

ING have a superb permanent collection (formerly the Baring Bank Art Collection) which is housed on the fifth floor of their London Wall offices. This is the main meeting area for ING, with over 30,000 people per month using and visiting it and it is where the ING Platform 100 Exhibition will be shown.

The selectors have been given the following guidelines to make their choice:
  • the artist must be born or resident in the UK
  • the work must be for sale
  • the work must be less than 4ft (1.22m) in its largest dimension in any medium
  • the work must be located in the UK and available for exhibition
The exhibition, which will be open primarily to employees of ING and visitors to the ING offices will run from 29 September to 25 October 2004, with an evening private view on 29 September. Arrangements for viewing can be made by appointment.
